Geoffrey E. Spofford of Westborough has been elected to serve as president-elect of the Worcester County Bar Association at its annual meeting held on June 9, 2020. He is a partner in the Worcester law firm of Lian Zarrow. He has practiced law in the Worcester area since 1989, starting as an associate with the law firm of Gould & Ettenberg before joining Lian, Zarrow in 1995. Throughout his career, his practice has focused on the representation of individuals and families affected by serious injuries, as well as criminal defense and general civil litigation. He has devoted countless hours to both the Worcester County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, being involved in their community based programs. He has been recognized with the WCBA President's Award in 1993 and 1997 and with the MBA Community Service award in 2019.
Spofford will take over as President of the 1000 member association from Terry McLaughlin in September 2021. McLaughlin becomes president of the association on September 1, 2020.
